Many USU students have gone on to earn upper level positions in industry and biotechnology. As such these alumni represent a wonderful avenue for our present students to gain access to internships in a variety of settings. Companies include ISIS pharmaceuticals, Cognate Therapeutics, and Stratagene.
Department Internship (Summer)
Did you know we offer 10-week summer internship sessions in our Nationally recognized research labs for students interested in pursuing a doctoral degree in chemistry or biochemistry? Here is what you need to know - housing provided, incredible research experience, travel reimbursement, and a $4000 stipend!
How to Apply?
- Transcripts (unofficial transcripts acceptable)
- One letter of recommendation from a science faculty member
- A one page, single-spaced narrative describing your prior science-related coursework and activities. Indicate your major, if an internship is a requirement for your graduation, expected graduation date, and include a brief description of your career plans. The aulity of the narrative will be used as a major criterion for selection.
